Cumbia, Rumba, Reggae (MX)
Santo Color has its roots in Mexico, where Lucio La Rua (founder of Casa Verde Colectivo and La Buenaventura) and Carlos Eduardo Cabral aka Kadu (founder of Casa Verde Colectivo) combined their creativity. With the collaboration of musicians from all over the world like Suika T. (founder of Casa Verde Colectivo and Wailé), making recordings in the most unusual places, mixing different styles and giving free space to creation Santo Color has gone on stage for the first time at the Ometeotl Festival (Mexico, November 2012) and from there the project has moved to different venues, festivals and spaces around the world.
After some years away from the stages the project revived in 2017 when Lucio La Rua and Jamilah Harman (founder of La Buenaventura and Wailé) united their experiences and musical colors and performed in different places like the Oregon Eclipse Festival and Burning Man as La Buenaventura. Building on this project they toured the Dominican Republic and revitalized the name of Santo Color.
Santo Color is music for everybody, music of resistance, music of freedom, of love and light, for all those who want to receive the message of the notes turned into colors.
Collaborations, sometimes made from one country to another, are a fundamental part of the essence of the project.
